]]>Kunst heeft voor haar met meerdere dimensies en oneindigheid te maken. Haar stijl is dan ook niet eenduidig, zij is altijd zoekend en experimenterend op zoek naar de onzichtbare realiteit achter de zichtbare dingen. Manipuleren en vervormen is de kernactiviteit.
Zelf verwoordt zij het als volgt: ´Als ik vanuit mijn fantasie werk dan plaats ik vrije geometrische vormen in een onbegrensde ruimte, zoals in de serie “Cosmic Metamorphosis” 2016’.
In haar werk komen verschillende elementen van de natuur als thema voor, zoals licht, reflectie, tijd en ruimte, zichtbaarheid en onzichtbaarheid, steeds in een mathematische geïnspireerde context.
De tentoonstelling is geopend op zondag 14 januari 2018 om 16 uur door Wouter Hakhoff, musicus en voorzitter Kunstenaarsvereniging Hoorn e.o..

Voor deze editie van ARTzaanstad hebben wij weer onze uiterste best gedaan om
een event neer te zetten met een grote verscheidenheid aan kunst en kunstenaars. Met
gepaste trots kunnen we je meedelen dat dat naar onze mening weer verdraaid goed
gelukt is. Maar oordeel vooral zelf.
Meer dan 80 kunstenaars in allerlei verschillende disciplines presenteren hun werk.
‘Browse’ op je gemak door de plaatjes om alvast je favorieten er uit te pikken en kom
16, 17 of 18 juni langs om de werken in het echt te bekijken. Het gros van de deelnemende
kunstenaars zal aanwezig zijn en uitleg kunnen geven over hoe hun kunstwerk
tot stand is gekomen of waarom ze het gemaakt hebben.

Nuray is een van oorsprong Turkse kunstenares die vanaf 1966 in Nederland verblijft. Zijn woont al weer vele jaren in Hoorn, heeft haar atelier in het Buismangebouw en is een gerespecteerd lid van de kunstenaarsvereniging in De Boterhal. Nuray exposeert regelmatig in binnen- en buitenland. Een kleine tien jaar geleden heeft zij een serie schilderijen gemaakt die geïnspireerd zijn op haar bezoeken in de repetitieruimtes van de Stopera, het toenmalige orkest Holland Symfonia. Zij heeft de zich voorbereidende muzikanten en vooral ook de wijze waarop deze musici naar een concert toe werkten verwerkt in een serie die zij ‘Muzikale Stilte’ heeft genoemd. In deze serie weet zij op prachtige wijze het beroep van orkestmusicus vast te leggen. De afbeeldingen gaan over het vakmanschap van een musicus. De benodigde concentratie om tot een mooie uitvoering te komen is in prachtige kleuren vastgelegd door Nuray. Van deze serie heeft zij er al diverse verkocht. Omdat er nog werken uit de serie in haar atelier stonden is zij bij de muziekschool binnen gestapt om te vragen of zij deze werken bij ons mocht exposeren. En dat vonden wij natuurlijk een hele eer. Ook omdat wij veel docenten hebben die in dit orkest hebben gespeeld. De schilderijen komen te hangen in de openbare gangen van ons prachtige pand. U bent van harte welkom.
